How 3MFtoSTL handles files and browser data.

Last updated: 2026-07-23

The short version

3MFtoSTL converts 3D files inside your browser. The selected model and generated download are not uploaded to our servers. Closing or reloading the tab removes the in-memory conversion session.

3D files

The converter uses browser APIs, Three.js loaders and a Web Worker to read and export your model on your device. We do not provide a model upload endpoint, keep server-side copies, or use model contents to train an AI system.

Your browser may keep the file you download according to your own download settings. You control that local copy.

Information the site may receive

Like most websites, hosting and security infrastructure may process basic request information such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamps and security signals. This data is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse and diagnose availability problems. It does not include the contents of the 3D file selected in the converter.

Theme and language preferences may be stored in browser cookies or local storage so the interface opens with the same choice next time.

Accounts, payments and advertising

The public converter does not require an account or payment. A reserved advertising area may be activated in the future; this policy will be updated before third-party advertising or analytics that use additional identifiers are enabled.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal information. Limited request data may be processed by infrastructure providers as needed to host and protect the site, or disclosed when required by law.

Your choices

You can clear site cookies and local storage through browser settings. You can clear the selected model and generated object URL by reloading or closing the tab.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes. The latest revision date appears at the top of this page.
